Although we are "shelter in place" and working and going to school from home and getting a little stir crazy.... are also blessed. We are blessed to be with each other and not alone. We are blessed to have food on the table. We are blessed to live on this beautiful lake that has been part of our entertainment and conversation. You see, every day we watch the progress of spring and the melting of the ice. It has been partially open, then frozen again. Then open. The color is always changing, too. It is lighter than darker. This time of year the darker the better...it means it is getting close. We say daily, as only Minnesotans would, "ope, look at the lake now". We make bets on which day the ice will go out. AND..you can bet when it does, docks will be going in and we will see boats and fisherman again. But today, instead of "look at the lake" It was, "Honey! Get your camera, there are swans on the lake!" So, of course, I grabbed my cameral to get this pic. They are beautiful and majestic to see. Now, I will be waiting for the loons to sing their songs. Then, I know that spring is truly on its way! When we get to that point, I hope to be back to photographing people!
